For language teachers

Build the course. Teach it. Let the recall take care of itself.

Lexis is where you author a syllabus, deliver its lessons, and let spaced repetition decide what each student sees again. One place, under your name, with the evidence of what they actually did kept where you can read it.

What it does

Four things, each of which used to be a separate evening

Authoring

Your syllabus, your structure

Courses hold units, units hold lessons, lessons hold activities — cloze, matching, ordering, multiple choice, error correction, listening, open writing. Reorder any of it by dragging. Nothing is ever hard-deleted, so an afternoon of restructuring is recoverable.

Delivery

Lessons a student can actually sit down with

A student opens the lesson, works through it block by block, and every answer is kept as evidence — what they attempted, what they got, how long it took. You see the record, not a completion tick.

Retention

Spaced review that schedules itself

What a student meets in a lesson becomes a review item, and the scheduler decides when it comes back. You do not build the revision homework; you teach, and the interval does the rest.

Assistance

AI that drafts, and never publishes

Generation produces a draft. A draft is not a lesson until you have read it and said so. There is no configuration that changes this, and no path where generated content reaches a student unapproved.

How a week runs

The loop is short on purpose

  1. 01

    Build once

Lay out the course — or start from a template and cut it down to the class you actually have.

  2. 02

    Assign the lesson

Students reach it by link and work through it in the browser. No install, no app store, no shared password.

  3. 03

    Read the evidence

Attempts land as they happen: which activity, which answer, which student. Reteach from what the record shows rather than from an impression.

  4. 04

    Let the recall run

Daily review keeps last month alive while you teach this week. That is the part teachers stop doing by hand first, and the part that decides whether anything sticks.

Read a lesson before you sign in to anything

What it will not do

The rules that do not have a setting

Generated content is never saved without you

AI output lands in a draft. You approve it or it dies there.

Nothing you made gets hard-deleted

Courses, units, lessons, activities and people are retired, not erased.

Your students are yours alone

Every query is scoped to your account at the database, not by a filter someone can forget to write.

Teach the lesson. Lexis keeps the record.
